Sponda’s Energy efficiency programme once again among the best in the Nordic region

Property investment company Sponda maintained its excellent A- grade in the annual CDP Climate assessment. The A- grade keeps Sponda on the best Leadership level. Sponda’s result was the best in Finland and among the best in the Nordic countries in the Financials category.

“The result shows that the measures in Sponda’s energy efficiency programme, as well as Sponda’s management regarding climate risk and opportunities, are on excellent level. This encourages us to continue the property energy efficiency programme in co-operation with our customers and other stakeholders. I would like to thank all of our partners for their contribution to the result we have achieved together,” says Hannamari Koivula, Sustainability Manager at Sponda.

The assessment is based on a global survey that this year received responses from 1,089 companies. A total of 42 companies in Finland responded to this year’s survey. This was the fifth time Sponda has participated in the CDP assessment.

“It’s great that an increasing number of Finnish companies participate in international environmental reporting. This reporting supports the long-term development of our environmental responsibility,” Hannamari Koivula continues.

The results of the non-profit, independent CDP Climate assessment provide investors with a transparent and comparable review of the companies’ measures to control and reduce climate emissions. CDP represents 827 institutional investors that manage over EUR 100,000 billion in assets globally.
