Sponda announces three key senior appointments
Sponda, one of Finland’s leading real estate asset management companies, has announced three key appointments to its senior management team as it seeks to deliver on its ambitious plans for this year.
Marianne Hoffman has been appointed as Sponda’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Head of Asset Management and Marko Mattila as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with both joining Sponda’s Executive Board. Rasmus Vuorinen joins as the Head of Office Leasing and becomes part of Sponda’s Extended Executive Board that consists of the company’s operative managers and business unit directors.
Marianne Hoffman will start her duties as COO and Head of Asset Management on 1 June 2022. She joins Sponda from the Nordic real estate company NREP in Sweden, where she has held several positions for the past eight years, most recently as Head of Investment and Asset Management, Commercial Real Estate. Before NREP, Marianne worked at Steen & Ström and Fabege and has extensive experience in the Nordic real estate industry, especially working with retail and office properties. In her new role she will be responsible for Sponda’s Retail and Shopping Centres, Office, Property Management, Property Development, Investments and Asset Management operations.
Marko Mattila, who started as CFO on 17 January 2022, also has strong experience in the Nordic real estate industry. He moved to Sponda from the Finnish real estate asset management company Citycon Group’s financial administration unit, where he was responsible for overseeing the Group’s financial processes and reporting. Marko’s career at Citycon spanned almost 10 years and involved a post in Sweden as finance and administration director of its Swedish and Danish financial teams. At Sponda, Marko is responsible for leading and developing the Group’s financial administration and funding.
Rasmus Vuorinen started as Sponda’s Head of Office Leasing on 7 February 2022. He was previously the Head of Leasing at JLL, where he was responsible for the development and growth of leasing operations and leasing advisory services in Finland. At Sponda, Rasmus leads office leasing activities and is the unit’s operational lead. Rasmus has seven years of experience working with Finnish and international real estate investors and customers. He has also worked in Sponda in the past.
