MW Dining to open upscale restaurant Iki at Sponda’s Signe development in central Helsinki
Sponda, one of Finland’s leading real estate asset management companies, has signed a lease agreement with MW Dining, which will open a new restaurant at Signe, the commercial development currently under construction at Mannerheimintie 14 in the heart of Helsinki. Restaurant Iki will offer a premium dining experience that uniquely combines East Asian and Nordic culinary traditions. The restaurant will further enhance the diverse service offering at Signe, which is scheduled for completion in late 2026.
Restaurant Iki will be located on the second floor of Signe, occupying approximately 360 square metres and serving both the building’s tenants and visitors to central Helsinki.

According to Lukkarinen, Iki will provide high-quality restaurant services to Signe’s tenants as well as to everyone visiting the city centre. The restaurant’s concept combines the culinary traditions of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Canton with Nordic ingredients and cooking techniques. The focus is on outstanding food, seasonality, and an approachable yet elevated dining experience.

Signe is a rare new-build development in the heart of Helsinki. Scheduled for completion in late 2026, the property will deliver approximately 17,000 square metres of new, high-quality and flexible office and retail space in a prime location with strong customer flows. The open and spacious retail and restaurant premises on the ground and second floors will introduce new services to the area and further enhance the attractiveness of the city centre.
Signe has been designed in accordance with the highest sustainability standards and is targeting, among others, LEED Platinum certification, an A Energy Performance Rating, and WELL Gold certification.
